Tumble Drier

I’m sitting in the tumble drier

With a furry rabbit friend

As I get higher he gets lower

I wonder when this cycle ends

So as I sit in contemplation

On this cycle with one wheel

I wonder if a tumble drier

Increases unique bike appeal

The rabbit does not judge my actions

He’s happy in an errant sock

If only at the time of boarding

The rabbit’s thoughts had turned to stop

I’d like to blame the silly rabbit

But rubbing up against his ears

Helps me balance on my cycle

Reducing drowsiness and fear

The bunny as you may imagine

Is happy in this tumbling world

But as the spinning speed increases

The bunny innards may explode

His fur is thick and pink and lustrous

It clogs my unicycle wheels

The faster round the drum I cycle

The more being bunny now appeals

Faster faster as we tumble

I think we may become as one

The sacrifice is in the balance

Of unicycle-bunny-dom

As the drum shines ever brighter

Bunny fur on stainless steel

I see my own intense reflection

Sporting rabbit ears and tail

The drum spins spinning ever faster

Reaching maximum rotate

The cycle, me and well the rabbit

Combine as one, mix up, mutate

So here I am some minutes later

Slightly dazed in rabbit fur

Two legs, one wheel and big pink ears

The errant sock may well concur

The moral of this strange adventure

If it isn’t plain to see

Don’t spin with bikes or stuffed fur toys

Unless you want to look like me.
